My ability to communicate has sometimes been described as, eh…

Back when I was a promising young writer for the Sherman Hi-Talk newspaper (which I just now realised what the name meant), the typical practice was get an assigment, wait until about 4 hours from deadline, and then pull together some words and stuff. I always heard things like “Good job” and “Great story,” and even “It made me cry.” I was never really into writing, and was in fact a photographer who wrote one story per edition. I never believed my writing to be very good. I thought it more B.S., which I had figured out was what people wanted on my exit test.

I then ambled around Film, English, News Writing, and finally majoring in Advertising in undergrad. I came to Portfolio Center and became a designer. I’m apparently good enough to be employed and sought out by individuals that need help. I’ve been able to create things that I am very proud of, that communicate good ideas, and some great notions.

But now I have the toughest project ever. I have to come up with a brand for myself. What am I about? What makes me special? Tough questions, I know.

Well, here’s something for starters. akem.ws
