I didn’t get as involved as I would have liked with Moustache May due to crazy schedule, but it was fun for a while. I’m about ready to get rid of this thing but I thought I’d leave you with this:

Real busy this month, but it should be looking a bit smoother in a few days. Here’s a taste:
In an impromptu class for 9 hours. I mean, geez.
At least my chair sketches went relatively smoothly. The only issue was with the ar-tic-u-la-tion of my ideas. Still need work with the presentation skillz. And, on top of that, I’ll probably be up all night.
My chair is about how my nephew’s birth changed my life. The crazy, chaotic kid that once lived was replaced with a more balanced individual that is still crazy and creative, but is also concerned with the safety of others, especially my 6 year old nephew and 3 year old niece.
If I would have written that before I preseneted, it would have gone easier this morning, or Hank would have found something else to pick on. Sketches to follow.

Here’s the pics. Use your imagination a little, but it’s a circular cushon fairly low to the ground with two archs on the back, one an arm-rest, the other a back-rest.
The down side to staying up 30 hours straight is that you tend to crash for a long time afterwards. I almost missed Hank’s class this morning because of that. I slept for 12 hours and then another 2.5 after his class. I’ve seriously got to stop pushing everything until the last minute. It’s affecting my health.

Today was a pretty emotionally draining day. Hank’s class went for 12 hours today. We got to tell our personal stories. People cried. My story, the short version: my life pretty much sucked until my nephew was born. And that’s the basis for my chair, the Portfolio Center right of passage.

Tonight over at Guillotine Post, a couple of Adobe reps went over some of the new features in Adobe After Effects CS3. I have to say, they did a lot better job of explaining the product in a way that I care about than a certain rival company that I’m not allowed to talk about. Looking at some of the new features gave me chills. I like production, though I’m more into interactive. I just want to do it all.

The other night, I was talking about how I wished there was a way to pre-edit photos (changing orientation, mainly) before uploading to Flickr. Well, that very night, I found jUploadr. It’s got a great batch edit feature so you can edit multiple pics before you upload them. I would recommend giving it a spin.
