Asteroid minus the Asteroids
This is my version of the “making the space-ship move across the screen.” I took the original shape of the Asteroid space ship and animated it on my sketchpad. Maybe this is how they came up with the original game, or maybe you’re really high when you’re drawing this. What if you were high while you were playing this on the computer?
It has a surealistic feel, and two things that are familiar, paper/pen and Asteroid, in a relatively new environment for me, a multi-purpose application that can mimic physics. Enjoy!

like any arcade classic was steeped in grandiose lore (the eternal conflict of PONG! was ever so riveting). tho it could be a fair point, even for an excercise.
the style of the piece is rather charming with the stuttering animation working quite well with the sketchpad background (might even want to put the pad itself on a several frame loop to match and give that flipbook appeal). title page with directions and the ’start’ function would be wise, as u said.
now start learning more ’cause this make me wanna SHOOT STUFF.
make it happen.
